Frequently asked questions
- Is there a file count or size limit?
- No fixed limit. Everything runs in your browser's memory, so very large batches (hundreds of MB) may be slow on older devices.
- Does merging reduce quality?
- No. Pages are copied as-is; nothing is re-compressed.
- Can I change the order after uploading?
- Yes. Move files up or down in the list and they are merged in that order, so the upload order does not matter.
- Does it work on a phone?
- Yes. Pick PDFs from the Files app on iPhone or the Download folder on Android. If your phone will not select several at once, add them one by one.
- The merged file is very large.
- Merging does not recompress, so the result is the sum of the originals. Run the merged file through Compress PDF afterwards.
- Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
- Files with an open password cannot be read and will not merge. Remove the password first.
Is my file safe?
Yes. This tool never sends your file to a server. The program runs on your device inside the browser, and the result is created right there. When you close the page, everything is cleared from memory and no record is kept.
