PDF tools with no sign-up and no install — for locked-down work computers

2026-10-06

Work laptops block installs, and most sites want an account before they will do anything. Registering with a company address feels wrong and personal webmail is often blocked. The way out is a tool that needs neither.

Why sites ask you to register

Usually for one of two reasons: to identify you so a daily quota can be enforced, or to have an address for upgrade prompts later. A tool that does not process files on its servers needs neither.

What works straight from a work browser

  • Merge, split, extract and rotate PDF
  • Compress, crop and add page numbers
  • PDF to image, image to PDF, text extraction
  • Image compression and resizing, Excel to CSV, QR codes

Browser requirements

Any recent version of Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox. Internet Explorer is not supported. If your company blocks the site at the network level, that is a separate matter for IT.

Frequently asked questions

Will IT object?
Files do not leave the machine, which is easier to justify than an upload-based site.
Where does the result go?
To your browser's default downloads folder. On a shared computer, delete it when you are done.
