Frequently asked questions
- Why is my scanned PDF empty?
- Scans are pictures of text, not text. That needs OCR, which is coming soon.
- The result is empty.
- The PDF is a scan, which is an image of text rather than text. Only files where you can select text in a viewer can be extracted.
- Tables come out jumbled.
- Plain text does not keep rows and columns. If a table matters, export that page with PDF to image instead.
- It is too long to paste into an AI.
- Use Extract pages to keep only the pages you need, then convert. The text is shorter and the answer stays on topic.
Is my file safe?
Yes. This tool never sends your file to a server. The program runs on your device inside the browser, and the result is created right there. When you close the page, everything is cleared from memory and no record is kept.
