Turn phone photos of a document into a single PDF (no scanner needed)

A signed form, a lease, a stack of receipts — you photograph them and now need to submit one PDF. Sending loose image files gets pages out of order and blows up the size. One PDF fixes both.

Thirty seconds of care when shooting
- Lay the page flat and shoot from directly above — tilted shots warp the text
- Avoid shadows: near a window or under an even light
- Use your camera's document or scan mode if it has one; it crops the edges automatically
Combine into a PDF
Open Image to PDF, add all the photos, put them in order, choose A4 or Letter and click Create PDF. Leave orientation on Auto and landscape shots land on landscape pages. A 10 mm margin is a safe default for printing; use 0 for screen-only.
If the PDF comes out huge
Five phone photos can make a 20 MB PDF. Run the photos through Compress images first — longest edge 2048 px, quality 80 — and the PDF lands around 2–3 MB with text still crisp.
Fixing pages afterwards
A page upside down or in the wrong place? Organize pages shows every page as a thumbnail so you can rotate, delete and reorder without re-adding photos.
