Frequently asked questions
- Is the data really gone?
- Yes. The saved file has those fields empty.
- What is stored in there?
- Author, title, subject, keywords, the creating application and creation and modification dates. Loading a file shows the current values.
- Does it remove names written in the text?
- No. It only edits document properties. Names in the body must be removed in the source document.
- Is it safe to clear everything?
- Yes. A PDF with empty properties opens normally.
Is my file safe?
Yes. This tool never sends your file to a server. The program runs on your device inside the browser, and the result is created right there. When you close the page, everything is cleared from memory and no record is kept.
