PDF to JPG in high quality — export pages as images at 150/300 dpi without blur

2026-09-28

Blurry PDF-to-JPG results almost always come from exporting at 72 dpi. In the PDF-to-JPG tool, pick 150 dpi for screens and 300 dpi for print, and each page comes out as a crisp image — a Letter/A4 page at 300 dpi is roughly 2500×3300 pixels. Choose PNG instead of JPG for diagrams, screenshots and anything with sharp text on flat colour.

Which resolution and format

  • Slides, web pages, social media: 150 dpi JPG (about 1240×1750 px per page)
  • Print, posters, zooming into details: 300 dpi JPG or PNG
  • Text diagrams, forms, line art: PNG (no JPG compression artefacts around letters)
  • Photos and scanned pages: JPG at quality 85–90%

Only some pages?

Exporting a 100-page manual produces 100 images. Extract the pages you need first, then convert — or use the page range in the converter. For a single figure, crop the PDF to the figure before converting so the image has no white margins.

Making the images smaller afterwards

300 dpi images can be 2–5 MB each. If they're for a website or a chat message, run them through Compress Image (quality 80%) or resize the long side to 1600 px. Both steps happen on your device and preserve the sharpness that matters on screen.
