Handy on locked-down office computers where you cannot install an archiver. Everything happens in the browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
How it works
- Choose Create or Extract.
- Add files, or a ZIP.
- Run it.
Frequently asked questions
- Password-protected ZIPs?
- Not yet — only unencrypted archives.
- Can it open password-protected ZIPs?
- No. Only unencrypted archives are supported.
- Can I zip a whole folder?
- Files are added individually. If you need to preserve a folder structure, use the operating system's built-in compression.
- File names with accents come out wrong.
- This tool stores names in UTF-8. If they break on extraction, the extracting program is using an old encoding setting.
Is my file safe?
Yes. This tool never sends your file to a server. The program runs on your device inside the browser, and the result is created right there. When you close the page, everything is cleared from memory and no record is kept.
