- Does quality suffer?
- Re-saving costs a tiny amount. At quality 95 or above you will not see a difference.
- Does it change the picture quality?
- No. The image data is untouched; only the attached information is removed. Size and quality stay the same.
- Do messaging apps already strip this?
- Most messengers and social networks remove location data on upload. Files sent directly or shared through cloud storage keep it, which is when this tool is useful.
- Is the date and camera model removed too?
- Yes. All EXIF data goes, including time, device model and camera settings.
Is my file safe?
Yes. This tool never sends your file to a server. The program runs on your device inside the browser, and the result is created right there. When you close the page, everything is cleared from memory and no record is kept.
